Tegan and Sara The Con

I hate to admit it but I fucking love their new album, and I the reason I hate to admit it its cause its just like liking Death Cab for Cutie, cliche. The new album sounds fresh and the lyrics are quite good, so enjoy this beacuse you'll never hear it form me again.

Great Lake Swimmers

Canadian Inde Folk project Great Lake Swimmers had third album release called "Ongiara" in which singer/songwriter Tony Dekker and his other partners in crime Erik Arnesen and Colin Huebert continue to take us to the journey of lyrics and sounds, with his voice and folk arraignment Tony Dekker transports you to the meadows into a relaxing experience, its so good I even liked it and I'm not much of folk kind of guy.

Bring on the Comets out August 28th

So I know that not many people are fans of the VHS or Beta, for the most part people are more fond of their DJ work, and I must say that I some times agree with all of them; however I think anyone can agree that they are good for a few things other than Dance music, they can make some singles that can stay in you head for weeks with nice electronic backgrounds. In their new album VHS or Betta take a detour into a more Indie sound of which frankly I'm not a fan of, how ever in the song "Burn it all Down" brings back the element which makes this band what they are. Hope you enjoy it as much as i did.

Cheers!!!

I'm digging Maps.

So if you are a current reader of the blog you probably already found out that I love Indie music; if you take a closer look you may notice that I like Indie music that has an electronic sound, this week I ran into this album by Map aka. James Chapman, and before I knew the story behind I was enticed by the amazing sound and lyrics of this one man band. Later on through some reading I found out that, not only was it an amazing album, but that James Chapman (Maps) was a one man band who crated this beauty on his own apartment without computers and the use of 16 track recording. The strange thing about this is that I've read many descriptions on this album and he gets comparisons form Notwist to Sleepless and the truth is that although he may have some elements of it, the simple fact that everything came from him by his own ingeniousness I'm not willing to compare him to anybody.

Enjoy!!
