LX-IR

From Paris, France comes Lx-IR an electronic musician with very smooth beats. I got an email yesterday from him with a link to his myspace; I must admit I was expecting something a bit more French pop, but to be honest his style works just fine; it has a small hint of 1950's retro and yes it definitely feels French but instead of bass, he has replaced it with jazzy beats with and synths which is so different form anything out there. The remix he sent was a bit of a shock to me, is the Estelle ft. Kanye West remix, which is a bit of a stretch for me since I'm not a fan of Kanye West (or Satan how I love to call him), but I dig so... dig.

Bipolar Badwise

Bipolar Badwise is an Melbourne Australia youngster band, influenced by Australia's growing electro scene. With an electric fusion of disco beats, electro synths and dark basslines, Bipolar Badwise is certainly making a name for themselves; although they are still perfecting their craft, it is actually already so good that anyone can bop along with their music.

David Rubato Santogold Remix

David Rubato is a French musician who fell in love with electronic music when he was young, now a days Rubato injects his french disco beats into other artist music such as, the Institutes, Midnight Juggernauts, and more recently Santogold. If you remember not long ago all the blogs around got an email about the release of Santogold's latest video "lights out" a very catchy tune form her debut album; Rubato on this release does not alter a lot the rhythm of the song, but by adding some great beats and the distortion of the voice, he makes this song club ready. I'm also including David Rubato's remix of my favorite song by the Midnight Juggernauts.

Santogold - Lights Out (David Rubato Remix)
Midnight Juggernauts - Shadows (David Rubato Remix)

THE DEER TRACKS

The Deer Tracks is a Swedish electro band who, rightfully call their music Northern Lights Electronica. Their latest single "Slow collision" feels like a slow electronic stream of water, and whennever the two voices of David Lehnberg & Elin Lindfors meet the song becomes sheer perfection. Recently they released the video of their first single "slow collision " which I've included in the post as well as links to their website and some live performances in Swedish television.

Twelves

I really don't know if I should feel ashamed or not, but this would be about the seventh time I post something about The Twelves; to be honest I don't think anyone can help it, with their new original songs, remixes, mixed tapes, and the release of their new Myspace page The Twelves Jams, is virtual impossible for a Blogger to commit the unforgivable sin of not posting about them. The Twelves Jams is the new Myspace page in which the Twelves show once again what amazing musicians they are; preforming in a live studio setting, the Twelves Jam to some awesome music of other artists. Today they also released their new Mixed tape; which shows their amazing DJing skills by showcasing a wide array of amazing artist they've remixed, later on they will show us their monster cocks and will tell us how inadequate we truly are. (that's all we need, right?)

Monkey Journey to the West

Monkey Journey to the West is a collaboration between Damon Albarn (Gorillaz) Jamie Hewlett (Gorillaz, Tank Girl) and the Chinese director Chen Shi-zheng (Dark Matter) is based in an old Chinese tale made into a Circus/Opera. On September 23 the soundtrack will be releasedb although is already available in iTunes. It is simply amazing how many dimensions Albarn has, this soundtrack has the Albarn signature, but the beauty of it, is that the music also caries the spirit of this ancient tale. I'm including the two songs and also the link of the website were you can read about this amazing work of art.

Mission Control Designer Drugs Remix

So Designer Drugs announced abut three or four days ago of the release of their newest remix of Mission Control's single "Innerspace", I was busy so I could not post it till today, but better late than never. As always Designer drugs has a nag for picking great music to remix and doing wonders on their end, with kicking electro beats creating head banging music; Mission Control is a band know for their dark sound mix with synths, which makes overall a perfect combination.

Shane Fontane

So I hit gold today whenever I got an email about Shane Fontane, all morning I've been listening to his remixes, most of them which are available on his myspace. What I love about Shane Fontane is of his knowledge in music, his remixes not only are innovative, but they also complement the original song bringing aspects that you couldn't ever have heard before; its really to be expected form some one who's life long goal is to become the best musician out there. I've included the new remix by Division Kent, I hope you don't mind, I know I posted about them yesterday, but I'm also included a remix of Love Motel; although I still recomend you to go to Shane Fontane myspace and check out some more awesome tunes.

Divison Kent

I've been trying to blog about Divison Kent since last moth, but I've had some problems finding a place where they can host their song permanently, having failed at that I've decided to bite the bullet and go for it today. Electric Kent is a new wave group form Swaziland known for their dark electric synth beats; its obviously really good other wise people would stop remixing them. Last moth Keenhouse Keenhouse remixed their single L'heure Bleue, and this month Shook a Dj from the Netherlands remixed the same song putting his own signature into the song.

Vega

Former front man for Ghosthustler Alan Palomo has been working under the new pseudonym Vega ever since he left Denton Texas; he grabbed New York by a storm DJing and working in other side projects. Today through his own label Vogue College Records he released his new single, "All to Vivid", exacly what the sound you can always expect form Mr. Palomo, and I'm sure there is more to come.

Shakeyface

After being on the studio for a few months Doug Smiley, aka Shakeyface from New York comes back with an amazing re-work to pump your party to the next level. "Goons and Goblins" is the new re-work by the Brooklyn DJ in which he re works Lil Wayne song Goons to a Goblin and spins it into a whole electro ball, to be honest I had no idea how Lil Wayne is till now, but I can tell you that Shakeyface's re-work its bumpin'.

Natalie Portman's Shaved Head

Natalie Portman's Shaved Head that for blogging purposes I'm going to call NPSH, are a group of cool kids form Washington who released their new album "Glistening Pleasure" that is full of Synth-Pop sounds and fun music. I was really happy to hear about them because they have a heavy load of funky beats, so much that you could compare them as a mixture of MGMT and the Black Kids; no matter what is a nice alternative to the music payola that some blogs have going on.

Leerone

California Native Leerone Leerone is a talented beautiful artist; although two completely styles, it kind of reminds me of my all time favorite artist St Vincent, in that they both are simply unique, talented, and creative. Whenever I first listened to her music I was expecting to hear some Folk, Sheryl Crow, mildly boring music (don't ask me why, I get this horrible gut feelings), I was pleasantly surprised to hear that it was completely the opposite; her music was so uplifting and with running the risk of being redundant a breath of fresh air. As soon as I listen to "All" of her music on Myspace I started to look for some videos of her performances live (cause the proof is always in the Puddin'), and yes ladies and Gentleman this is truly Worth listening, she has the mad piano skills, voice range (aka. she don't sound like everyone), and she can preform.

Endless

I don't really blog on Saturday, but I completely ran out of time yesterday, and I didn't want to miss my mental window and not post this song so... "Merry Christmas". Yes is the brand new song by my favorite Mexican Bufi, of whom I've blogged before and I'll continue to do so until he stops making good music; its simple you see, I'm just doing my job.

Bufi - Endless

"As a bonus we will include a free mop head absolutely free (just pay shipping and handling)." Or may be just an extra song by the Muscles, of whom I thought I had blogged before, but then I remembered that after a while I opted not to, the lead singer's voice gives me a headache.

Plastilina Mosh

One of my favorite bands of all time is P Mosh, the reasons is because they embody at its plenitude the word "Chido". Plastilina Mosh normally writes on Spanish and their lyrics as well as their beats are funky; however this new CD P Mosh takes the journey that many artist like, the Twelves, CSS, Justice, have taken and used the English to brings their awesomeness to all the world, but not to worry, they still utilize their amazing ability to fuse different styles and beats to bring their funkiness. I've included some new stuff as well as some old school, for those of you who aren't familiar with this guys.

Plastilina Mosh - My Party
Plastilina Mosh - Toll Free

Old school shit:
Plastilina Mosh - Pinche Stereo Band

Brazilian Girls

This Tuesday Brazilian Girls released their newest album called "New York". New Yorker band Brazilian Girls are known for Electro french beats, infused with loads and loads of sex; on their new album on "my opinion" they take a different approach, into the fun side it still has that sexy edge on them; however its has less chilled beats and more trumpets around.

Brazilian Girls - Good Time

Brazilian Girls - Ricardo

And for some old school Brazilian Girls:

Australian band Van She have been making a name for themselves by their remixes of Feist and the Klaxons songs, as well as the release of their ep, but come August the 9th they will release their debut album under the Modular label, which is available to sample on their Myspace page now. It is getting great reviews all over the bloggersphere, and I must say that after a few listens I must add my self into the group of praises.

CSS Vs. Cut Copy

This is a quick one, I just wanted to point out how humorous is that after a while, you can easily tell who the remixer is by certain characteristics; if you can't, then listen to the two following tracks.
CSS - Move (Cut Copy Remix)
Cut Copy - Hearts on Fire

Cubehead

Coming to us from Pennsylvania, Cubehead is something different from my usual postings full of electro beats and remixes; never the less different can also be good. Loaded with massive drums, guitars, and the occasional synths, Cubehead is a band that is loaded with testosterone, which should be the pick me up for every one's Monday. Cubehead really embodies what independent really means, the rawness in all their songs reminds me of those elements great bands like CSS and others used to have but as they grew more mainstream, they lost it leaving a great void which fans usually miss. In their song "No Kuller" cubehead give us an adrenaline shot with a old school punk riot; then Cubehead gives us the ballad "the Ice Block Song" a song which embodies what a real garage band sound really should sound.

Low Slung Radio

Low Slung Radio is a new friend of our blog coming to us form the UK, there you can listen to obscure, unsigned, independent artist form all over Europe. Charlie Ashcroft the host of this amazing podcast, takes you on a musical journey in each episode through out Europe's coolest bands; in the latest cast Ashcroft features bands from England and Denmark, who are invigorating and fresh. I've included a link to Low Slug Radio's latest podcast, as well as a link to his Myspace and Facebook; also to give you a taste of the music you will be listening I've included a song by Denmark band Strving Vines and their song "Colder than Icecream" which is amazing.

Boy Crisis

Boy Crisis are a New York based band, who for a while were touring with MGMT, the reason is that they are BFFs except for one lives in Cali and the other in NY. I really like the beat of the song; even though you have your base drums and all the mixture of synths makes this a very cool song to bop to (don't judge me I'm ancient).
