Indie Pop band Spino Band is keeping busy these days with several projects, their more outstanding one is the release of their latest LP October 7th entitled: "Moonwink". They are also gearing to start their European tour, and have restarted their online competition called "Roy Spino Mask Contest" in which contestants send in pictures of themselves wearing masks of the late guitarist Roy Spino. This idea is a revamped version of the 2006 competition, only this time around they've gotten some kick ass judges and sweet prizes. Today I bring you the new single of their up coming album called " Pumpkins and Paisleys" which is bound to get you bopping around the room.

This is a quick post because I have previous engagements, and I'm kind of late. Fireball is an artist from Trinidad who has been topping the charts in the UK with his amazing beats. Today I bring you the remix done by Bob Sinclar, who just like Chris Cox have created a remix for Fireball's song "What I want" its really banging so I hope you guys enjoy it.

Passion Pit has just released their debut Ep which has started to circulate around in the blog world, gaining strength like a hurricane (is that wrong for me to say since I live 6 hours from Huston?), in order to bring their awesome Electro Pop music to the world, they will be also be touring with Yelle French Pop hottie. To celebrate their CD release they've sent their, fun, energetic, and really unique single "Sleepy Head" ; this single is so good you only need to listen to it once to like it.

So this Friday I decided to go back to my roots (A.K.A my old bar) to whatch a show with a really amazing line up, including: Faux Fox, Sydney Confirm, Rival Gang, and Gun Gun. Now this was the second concert on a series for Faux Fox new CD and as always their shows leave you with a good taste in your mouth; however this was my first time watching Sydney Confirms live, and I was really intrigued to hear them since they've been getting really good reviews around.
Now, it is always a good idea whenever you are planning to do some blogging on a concert to steer clear of all alcohol (or at least is a good idea for me); however as I mention before this was my comeback to the bar ( The Chat Room ) and apparently that means all your old friends will buy you drinks until your pants fall off. The night started really Punkish, with the girls of Gun Gun, two talented girls who rotated between drums, keyboards, and guitars and looked good doing it. After Gun Gun, Rival Gang followed; this was a trio consisting of two power girls and a guy who also rotated on different instruments, this was a more bitchie band going heavy on the vagina and power punk. Now by the time Faux Fox came out I was rather intoxicated and being harassed by a guy who knew a friend of mine; however I had already heard them at the Lounge so I already knew how good they where. Last came Sydney Confirm full of energy and electro dance beats, its no wonder why Disqo Disco is my favorite night to dance, they had everyone at the bar dancing and acting stupid, I personally didn't need any help seeing that after the show I decided to approach the lead singer to tell him how much I enjoined his remixes, which is cool but I forgot to mention how great their music really was.

From New York City comes Young Lords a band of young lads who have been going against the grain of the music business. In the last two years since the band’s institution, the Young Lords have been featured in an impressive selection of Music and Lifestyles magazines as well as MTVU, while resisting the idea of singing to a record label.
On October 7th this remarkable group will be self releasing their album "Rodeo Songs" and have allowed a hand full of blogs to raise the hype of their album by sending them their album. As extraordinary as this band's story is, their sound is far more impressive, it honestly sounds like something you would expect form the UK: with heavy drums, loads of string and attitude. I personally loved the whole thing, its so full of energy and testosterone which is basically what anyone really wants; keep an eye on them I assure you they are to become the next big thing.

I can't remember if I've blogged about Jape or not, all I know is that he's been on my playlist before. This week Jape released a cover of the amazing Toto song "Africa", I think covers tend to be a bit tricky, becuse they can bring something new in a good way, or something new in a bad way.
Honestly I still prefer the orignial version by Toto, but after a few listens everything grows on me, so I'm alright with Japes version also.

I honestly can't get enough of Division Kent their music exudes electricity and sexuality, the proof shows on the fact that I've posted about them more than once. Today I bring you "Superstitious" , an electric song that whenever I listen to it I get goose pimples. This song was created by Risqué & Crackdown and Andrea B. from Division Kent; although the two of them do not know eachother, via internet this frenship created an amazing tack. This version of the song will be unavailable untill later this year, but you can pick up a version of the song form the Some Bizzare Lable, Double album.
