Fanfarlo

Fanfarlo is set to release their latest album "Reservoir" as well as their tour with Snow Patrol, needles to say they are having a great year. To continue this streak of good luck they've released a track of their new album "I'm a pilot" which is truly gold, with the right mixtures of drums, piano, violin , and vocals this can only mean that the album is going to be that amazing.

Vega "Well Known Pleasures"

This January Vega was in Dallas doing some DJing shows around, and as a big fan I try to make it to most of them. Finally, he and his pals Jason Faries (Gazelles, Females) and Ron SicDon (Gazelles) had a live show of some of Vega's new material, the crowd there went wild with the new material and today the amazing people of Discobelle have received the exclusive to Alan Palomo's (Vega) latest release, the song is called " Well Know Pleasures" and I'll let you guys judge why the crowd went wild. And Alan "Don't mess with the Twelves."

Whitest Boy Alive

I still haven't got a clue how a band can be such a staple into my life, yet I neglect to write about them. Whitest Boy Alive is a Norwegian that I was first introduced by the remix Fred Flake made of their song "Golden Cage"; their CD Dreams was released on 06 but after a long wait they've released a brand new song called: "Island" which opens the way for their latest CD to be released on March 30th of this year.

Sidechains

So I've actually been in bed for the last two days and have not been able to get my fill of electro dancing, I've also been to cold to sit in front of the computer (hence the lack of posts) so to counteract this I bring you a late post of Sidechains who is responsible of some amazing Remixes that he just made into a mix.

Rosie and Me New year

Is a new year and Rosie and Me are back with a brand new song to celebrate. The song is titled "Old Folks (New Year)" and is a beautifully made song with poetic lyrics and amazing guitar arraignments. I still I'm amazed of the hypnotizing power Rosie's voice has, a friend of mine had a listen to their last single "Come back" and automatically fell in love with her.

LehtMoJoe Mashup

LehtMoJoe is back once again with a mash up form David Bowie and ELO. LehtMoJoe brought us a mash up back on December with the mixture of the 50cent and Paul McCartney, and he demonstrated that he is a natural in producing great mash ups even if the music is crap; today's selection is a hundred percent better and as always LehtMo does not disappoint.

Hoshina Anniversary

Hoshina is a producer from Tokyo Japan who is bringing today to splendid remixes by two electronic staples, starting with CSS's song Alala and folowed by Uffie's song "Ready to Uff".

Don Diablo Kaseo Remix

Don Diablo is back with two more remixes. The first one is from Australia band Kaseo and their single "Kill Radio" which is an energy packed track with loads of grunge, I'm starting to see that Don Diablo: A) has great taste in the music he picks, and B) is a genious on the remixing busines.

The Second Remix was a surprise to me not because of Tami Chynn which is a hot Jamacan singer who is about to release her new album, but because of the Akon factor since I don't like shit, but Don Diablo did an amazing work on the remix .

Johanna Samuels ALittle Bit of Both

I was really excited to receive Johanna Samuels's new album, I've posted about her a few months ago, back then I posted her single "Say the Word" , there after I became completely obsessed with her work. Her album is titled "A Little Bit of Both" and is an amazing demonstration of uniqueness and talent; combining organs, drums, piano, and other instruments all topped with Johanna's hypnotic warm voice make the CD what it is, a masterpiece. I received the CD yesterday but I wanted to be able to familiarize myself with the CD, by doing so I discovered the difference between a singer/songwriter and an amazing artist.

Here We Go Magic

It is the beginning of the year and as you may know there isn't a lot to blog about out there; there wasn't any new Radiohead or some truly impressive release this last Tuesday, so I've decided to turn to a band that I've been listening not stop in my car (at least whatever is available), I'm talking about Brooklyn based Here We Go Magic where leading man Luke Temple has created a true masterpiece; although Temple has denied that this is just a project after listening to some of his earlier work this music does contain the Temple signature, it has a mixture of pop, folk and psychadelic and its probably going to be one of the best albums of 2009 .

Miike Snow - Treasure Fingers Remix

Downtown records just send an email about the band Miike Snow's latest remix by Treasure Finger, it sounds really good, but lets be honest find something that Treasure Finger has remixed that is bad.

Sebastien Tellier

Sebastien Tellier Sexuality was all the rage during the year 2008, if you have not picked up your copy yet feel free to stop reading and head to your nearest American Apparel(don't act like you don't shop there) and pick up you copy today. After of what seems an amazing year for Sebastien Tellier the good people from XLR8R Magazine have asked him to make a TV episode called "Sebastien Telliers all" (pun intended) in which he answers sexual questions (at least he trys), its actually very humorous and worth having a look, it also gives me an oportunity to blog about him.

The Antlers

Brooklyn based indie band The Antlers are set to release their sophomore album on March the 3rd of this year, this album will be called "Hospice" and it's said to track the band's evolution's from Dream Pop band to a Shoegaze band; as the story goes the band got its start in the bedroom of front man Peter Silberman and after finding his two other band members (Cicci and Lerner ) the band is maturing into brand new territories. The new album has the colaborations of some of Silberman's friends Darby Cicci (trumpet, bowed banjo), Justin Stivers (bass), Michael Lerner (drums), and Sharon Van Etten (guest vocals) so it is something to keep an eye on.
