Fredo Viola

Fredo Viola has saved "Fun Boy Three" hit "Our Lips are Sealed", after the travesty of covers that completely ruined this song (the Duff sisters) it is nice to hear a true artist cover it by bringing something new to the table. Fredo Viola now a New York resident has had loads of classical and musical training during his life, which makes his music more peculiar and brilliant, his song "Sad song" featured on the Manchurian candidate gave me goose pimples on the theater. Viola is soon to release his debut album on April 6th in which he will include the "Sad Song" but as a proof to his art he has sent us this master piece which I hope you'll like.

HEADS WE DANCE

Heads We Dance is a new "hot" band from Leeds UK, who I've actually posted about before on a Buffet Libre Rewind 2 post and Lalory post. They have recently been added to "This is Fake DIY Records" and to show us what they are all about they've sent us some samples of their songs. Heads We Dance is a band inspire by futuristic electronic sounds along the levels of Kraftwerk; they are setting up to release their debut album this spring, their sound is really catchy and fresh, I can honestly see me making loads of post about this band.

THE BULLITTS

The Bullitts are a trio of musicians who are about to release their debut single "Stay Runaway" a song with small hints of electro mixed in with ancient Asian influences. They've sent a the video of "Stay Runaway" as well as a song called "Meeting At Seven Dials" which although not as catchy as "Stay Runaway" it is still a really enjoyable tune.

Jensen Sportag Jackie

I have a little obsession with the guys of Jensen Sportag, ever since the release of Max Tundra's mix where he featured snips of "Cocktease" I fell completely head over hills. On December Jensen Sportag released their ep. "Power of Sergio" another Disco House ballad which captivated many by their smooth electro rhythms; coming march 3rd on the bands label MIDISPORT, Jensen Sportag are preparing to release their latest ep. "Jackie" Which include the single as well as some remixes of the same song, and my favorite Max Tundra remix of Cocktease.

The Steps

The Steps are an Austin band of young rockers with a lot of attitude; bringing a 60's rock revival, the band has been having a lot of success with their album "Dagger" which was produced by Chris "Frenchie" Smith of the Explotions in the Sky , Dandy Warhols and Jet . Like everything Frenchie has produced The Steps bring a unique take to old school Rock sound, with an unapologetic attitude, clearly influenced from the old school rock masters. Today the Steps are coming with a brand new video form their single "Dagger", and they have shared their album with me to share some good tunes with you.

Leerone Video

Leerone is back with a brand new video for her single, "To fill the Void" directed by Claire Carré, so enjoy.

MMMatthias Gold MMMix

MMMatthias is back!!! I have to say I have missed this cool cat, if you are not familiar with MMMatthias body of work you've missed a lot, he is an amazing producer, DJ, and artist. MMMatthias is coming today with a superb mix called Gold MMMix; what I really like about this mix is that it not only has cool new material (Azzido da Bass) but it also has stuff that where really hot last year and that many people might have forgotten about them. Here is the most important thing MMMatthias brand new original track called "James (ReKratz)", the sound is exhilarating, I've been playing it really loud for the last few minutes and its one of the best things I've heard in a while.

Camera Obscura

Tomorrow is Valentines day the Hallmark holiday of the year, during this holiday I like to reflect on how lucky I am to be surrounded by friends and family that loves me, and if there is a significant other out there well the better; you See I believe people do need this commercial holidays because they are always to busy and they take for grated those who surround you, of curse this also opens up a whole set of issues with it, like people feeling down for not having a girl/boy, we are use to believing this has to be so since school, well if you feel that way...Grow up, you are an Adult Now!!!

Going back to the post, Camera Obscura is about to release their forth coming album "My Maudlin Career" (April 21), I like Camera Obscura because they have a vintage feel to them and for some reason; although their music is not a bumping eletcro madness, everytime I listen to them I feel beter and cheerful, so I figured for those of you who are not having the best of days...well there you go and for those of you who are, have a better day!

Don Diablo Valentine Mix

Are you in love, are you ready to do something romantic with your significant other? Well why don't you dance with he/her. Don Diablo has created a Mix for you, its his Valentines day gift to you.

Don Diablo - Electronic Romance for boys and girls

The Rest

The Rest is a band from Ontario Canada who are getting ready to release their sophmore record called "Everyone all at once" due out this April. They've allowed blogs to listen to this year and a half project, or better yet masterpice; soundwise the record sounds mature and sentimental, but what is enjoyable is the way it seems to stream into your ears almost seemlessly. The combination of piano, cello, guitar and drumbs all muted and blended enough to provide a bridge and harmony between the twelve songs which make up the album. I've included the songs that hypnotized me, I hope they do the same to you.

Don Diablo, Walter Meego RMX

Walter Meego is an Electro duo who has become an important staple on Electronic music, and Don Diablo is a Madman with a genius side, able to produce, DJ, and Remix like no other. Don Diablo today brings a new remix by Walter Meego's single "Girls" jammed packed with heavy bass lines; he also comes with another original work called "Like a Pro" which is full of distorted sounds and disco beats some thing well worth it.

Mass Games

Mass Games is a project produce by Joseph Weber that has a really unique and smart idea behind it. Joseph has just recently finished an Ep of Electronic music mainly created with "Learn to speak English" tapes; although a bit darker, this Ep can still be categorized as Electro Pop, even though some times it tingles around Thrash. Overall this is a really amazing work of art, with an idea which can revolutionize the Electronic industry.

Funeral Party

Funeral Party is band that I completely drop the ball on, I received their latest EP "Bootleg" back on the 29th, but because of poor time management I've postpone the post till today. I was really taken back by their Post Punk Dance sound, the energy which Chad Elliot injects into the songs is superb, his passion runs along the levels of Omar Rodriguez from Mars Volta; although their sound is more Dancy than Psychedelic. The EP is energetic form beginning to end and is easy to see why this band form California is getting the local support its getting.

Do you remember when Indie started to get Electronic ? Well, today we have a band from Irvine California, who are bringing it back form the roots. Faded Paper Figures is a band that has a very familiar sound, yet is relieving to be able to listen to the sounds that once made us happy; with a mixture of guitars and synths the songs from this band are something I can listen for hours.

Roy G and the Biv

Roy G and the Biv are an electro duo from Denton Texas, the town of Midlake and Vega, their sound has caused a great stir on the local scene with their mixture of funk and 80's synths. They decided to become a duo after they both moved to Boston to the Berklee College of Music, and after that they've both have used their music education to produce amazing music. Today they come with a remix of The Dreams single "Rockin That Thang "'; although what we should be preparing is their full length release on April, I was able to go to their listening party at Fallout last year and the crowd was wild about their music, so you can always expect the best after that
