Alan Wilkis

Meet Alan Wilkis, a Brooklyn producer who just released his latest album "Pink and Purple". The comparisons for this CD have left me unimpressed; I mean anyone can compare anyone to
Kraftwerk but the truth is that this is album has Electro Funk written all over it, with the clever use of voice modulators and late 70's early 80's disco funk beats, "Pink and Purple" allows Electronc sounds to sit comfortably with the funk and sexiness that only Disco can bring.

Sidechains remix

Hello from sunny Miami, I have not been able to blog because I forgot my computer, but I do have some new stuff that have called my attention, please accept my apologies as this post does not contain hyperlinks, I'll try to fix them once I get home.

I received a message from Sidechains in which they offered two remixes and their latest mix, today I'm just going to include one remix, because the other one wasn't up to part and also because blogging from your iPhone is not the most desirable way to blog.

First off lets start with Elizabeth and the Catapult whose album "Taller Children" was released on Tuesday, they had a really amazing show on SXSW and where also featured on NPR show All Things Concidered; the album is a indie jewel which everyone should get.

Frederick Carlsson

Nikator Promotions sent over some dope remixes and a Mix by Frederick Carlson , they say is to celebrate Sweden national day, I say is there really any need for a remix to happen. The first remix is by swedish singer Jonathan Johansson and this is probably my favorite song even though I cant understand it. The next remix is by another sweedish band called They Live by Night I like this remix, but I'm not crazy about the words, it almost feels like the are going to start doing some cheesy dance.

Esser

Esser is a new artist coming from the UK who has been getting loads of attention after touring with the Kaiser Chiefs; now signed to Chocolate Industries Records, this 23 year old has just released his first single "I love you" and its gearing up for his full album release August 11th.

Esser - Headlock
Esser - I Love You (Prince Paul Remix)

***Bonus***

So, for a bonus I was going to post the Mix by Esser they sent me, but I don't feel like uploading a big file, instead I wanted to share a song which they'll probably make me take down because I don't have the consent to release it, but is soooooooo good I can't help but share it. I really don't know the name of the track but is number 3 on this amazing Disco master piece; I'm talking about Vega's latest Ep. "Well Known Pleasures", I really hope the Hype Machine doesn't post it, so that you (my readers) who have not been able to buy the EP. on their show can enjoy this amazing track.
