The Cloud I'm Under

Do you ever watch a video and think... that was weird, those where my thoughts when I first saw the video of The Cloud I'm Under's song "Future Games", my guess is who gives a damn when the song is good. The Cloud I'm Under self describe his sound as a mixture of Apex Twins with David Bowie, and I'm not going to disagree with this kid of NYC, cause he's got "It" what ever It is; He recently just released their debut ep Ears Ringing/Hearts Full/Pockets Empty and its available for download at website.

Wolf Gang Rmx

I just received two new remixes of Wolf Gang new single, " Pieces of you". In case you have not heard this single, its kind of a 70's fusion of different instruments, I quite like the Fifth Dimension feel that his music has; the remixes bring the neon lights into the song which makes it more suitable across the dance floor.

Au Revoir Simone LehtMoJoe Remix

Last week I got a brand new remix by LehtMoeJoe and also his upcoming album soon to be released at the end of this month. While I was not able to preview the album, I did get the remix he just made from Au Revoir Simone; however in order to create a new excuse why I didn't post it last week I'm going to summon the help of the gods and say..."Its because of the Texas weather" (its 100 degrees). Regardless of the five day forecast it is a good sign whenever you can't decide which one you like best the original version, or the remix, so I'll leave it to ya'll to decide which one you like best.
Au Revoir Simone - Another Likely Story
***Bonus***
I also got this Cumbia/Electro remix of Jessie Evan last week from Sonido Desconocido of Mexico, this remix is very dope and different, it reminds me of El Guincho remix of Architecture in Helsinki.

Neon Indian

Neon Indian, one of the many side projects from Alan Palomo of Vega just released a brand new track. If you remember I posted their first song "Deadbeat Summer" on May's Playlist and for the most part this project has been kept under wraps. Last week they released their latest track called: "Terminally Chill" who follows along the lines of the first track, all setting up for the release of their Lp in October 13th. For my part I'm also posting a track which reminds me of the style of Neon Indian, and curiously is a song that Alan plays alot on his DJ sets, its a Spanish song by the band Righeria a very famous Italian band form the 80's (you have to be latino like me to know about it(and love music)); by the way did you know that Alan Palomo's dad was a very famous musician in Mexico, he told me about it once but I was drunk and can't remeber the band's name, but as soon as I find out I'll blog about it.

Neon Indian - Terminally Chill
Neon Indian - Deadbeat Summer
Righeria - No Tengo Dinero

Stephanie Schneiderman

I just got an unreleased track by electronic artist Stephanie Schneiderman remixed by DJ Keith Schreiner, its a really chilled beautiful song called "20 Silver".

Hoshina sent over a new remix of La Roux song Bullet Proof and I didn't want to miss the chance to post it.

The Victorian English Gentelman Club

Today is the release of 'Love On An Oil Rig' The Victorian Gentlemans Club so I'm including the video "Parrot".

King Wilkie

I just received this amazing project by the Wilkie Family; their latest album "King Wilkie Presents: King Wilkie Family Singers" its a string charged album about a dysfunctional family the Wilkie Family who write and record as part of a music therapy created by the mysterious Dr. Art. Though the album may seem like a folk alone project, the whole albums venture into other sounds overtones and electric guitars; unfortunately I was only allowed to post one song of this amazing project, but you can stream some more songs on their myspace page.

Wilkie Family - Hey Old Man

My First Earthquake! has just released their latest video of their single "Cool in the Cool Way" a video subtitle "Invasion of the Hipster Body Snatchers" which like the very popular Youtube video "Hipster Olympics" this video attempts to satirize the hipster culture. I'm including the video as well as two songs "Cool in the Cool Way" and "Vow to Vowels".

My First Earthquake! - Vow to Vowels

MJ Remix and Mashup

I honestly was going to try to not jump into the MJ bandwagon, not because I didn't like the guy, but because I think everyone else is doing such a good job at it so I figured I would skip this one; however yesterday I received some Remixes and mash ups from LehtMoJoe, Don Diablo, and The Hood Internet.
First off is Don Diablo with a remix of "Remember the time", a song which Don Diablo turned in to a dark heavy guitar dance anthem. Then The Hood Internet gives us a dope mash up of MJ's "Billie Jean" mixed in with some samples of RATATAT. Lastly comes Dallas native LehtMoJoe with his remix of "Beat It" digitalized and oh so remixed.

MJ - Billie Wildcat Jean(Funkanomics edit)
